Teacher AppCurriculum Coverage

Curriculum Coverage

Curriculum Coverage shows you which outcomes your plans have touched and where you still have gaps. It is useful for medium-term planning, subject leadership, and report preparation.

What it tracks

Coverage tracks every curriculum outcome in the subjects you teach. For each outcome, you can see:

  • Whether it has been covered.
  • How many plans cover it.
  • Whether coverage was auto-detected or manually marked.

Initialize coverage

To start tracking, you need an imported curriculum:

  1. Go to Curriculum Coverage.
  2. Select the curriculum and subject.
  3. The app loads the full set of strands and outcomes.

If your curriculum is not loaded yet, contact your administrator or import it from the curriculum settings.

The coverage view

The coverage view shows:

  • A progress bar with the percentage of outcomes covered.
  • A filter to show All, Covered, or Not Started outcomes.
  • Strands that group related outcomes together.
  • Outcome cards showing the title and coverage status.

Click a strand to expand it and see the outcomes inside.

Auto-coverage from plans

When a plan includes an outcome, the app marks it as:

  • Covered in N plans

The count updates automatically as you save more projects. This only counts outcomes explicitly selected in the Planner.

Manual marking

You can mark an outcome as covered even if it was not selected in a generated plan:

  1. Find the outcome in the coverage view.
  2. Click Mark as covered.
  3. The status changes to Manually marked.

This is helpful for informal activities, assessments, or professional judgment.

Gap analysis panel

The gap analysis panel highlights:

  • Strands with low coverage.
  • Outcomes that have not been started.
  • Areas where you may need additional plans.

Use this view to plan your next unit or adjust your scope and sequence.

CSV export

Export the full coverage report as a CSV file. This is useful for:

  • Sharing with department heads.
  • Uploading to school data systems.
  • Keeping an offline record.

Dashboard coverage widget

The main dashboard includes a coverage widget that shows your overall progress at a glance. Click it to jump into the full coverage view.
