Learning Tools
The Learning Tools connect to your saved plans and child profiles to help you build extra resources quickly. They are designed for busy parents who want to create differentiated materials, quizzes, rubrics, and printable resources without starting from scratch.
Differentiated Reading
The Differentiated Reading tool, sometimes called Differentiated Reading for Siblings, lets you create one reading passage at three different reading levels. It also adds vocabulary support and comprehension checks so children of different ages can learn together from the same topic.
This tool is available on the Family and Family+ tiers.
How It Helps
- Use one topic for multiple ages.
- Each child gets a version that matches their reading level.
- Vocabulary support builds confidence.
- Comprehension checks help you see who understood the material.
Formative Quiz Builder
The Formative Quiz Builder creates quick checks for learning. You can build multiple-choice or short-answer quizzes, and the tool includes answer keys and misconception hints.
This is useful for:
- End-of-lesson review.
- Checking understanding before moving on.
- Creating independent practice your child can complete on their own.
Rubric Builder
The Rubric Builder creates 4-level rubrics for portfolio documentation. You can describe what excellent, good, developing, and beginning work looks like for a project or assignment.
Rubrics are helpful when you want to:
- Give clear expectations to your child.
- Document skills for a portfolio review.
- Evaluate open-ended projects consistently.
Resource Assistant
The Resource Assistant is available on the Family+ tier. It creates handouts, worksheets, flashcards, and AI visuals based on your saved plans.
You can use it to:
- Turn a lesson plan into a printable worksheet.
- Build flashcards for vocabulary or math facts.
- Generate visuals that support a science or history topic.
Because it pulls from your saved plans, the materials match your child’s grade level, curriculum, and learning notes.
How Tools Connect to Saved Plans
Most Learning Tools can pull information from plans you have already saved to your Family Library. This means you do not have to re-enter subjects, topics, or objectives. The tools use the same child profile context as the planner, so the outputs match your learner.
To use a tool with a saved plan:
- Go to the Learning Tools section.
- Choose the tool you want to use.
- Select a saved plan or topic from your Family Library.
- Adjust any options and generate the resource.
- Save or export the result.
Choosing the Right Tool
- Use Differentiated Reading when you want all of your children to explore the same topic together.
- Use the Quiz Builder when you need a quick assessment.
- Use the Rubric Builder when you want to document project quality.
- Use the Resource Assistant when you want printable materials built from a saved plan.
