Teacher App Overview
The EdToolkit Teacher App is built for K-12 teachers who want to plan smarter, save time, and turn their plans into classroom-ready resources.
Instead of starting from a blank page, you create reusable classroom profiles, generate lesson and unit plans with AI, and run connected tools that turn those plans into differentiated texts, quizzes, rubrics, and printable resources.
Core features
- Classroom Profiles - Save the context you teach in once, then reuse it for every plan.
- Planner - Generate lessons, units, and intervention plans aligned to your curriculum.
- Projects - Keep every generated plan as a durable project you can edit, export, and reuse.
- Connected Tools - Build differentiated texts, formative quizzes, rubrics, and resource packs from your projects.
- Curriculum Coverage - See which outcomes you have covered and where the gaps are.
- Plans & Billing - Manage your free trial or subscription.
What you can do in the Teacher App
- Build lessons and units in minutes instead of hours.
- Align every plan to curriculum outcomes.
- Create differentiated versions for emerging, on-level, and advanced readers.
- Generate quizzes with answer keys and misconception hints.
- Track coverage across strands and academic terms.
- Export plans to PDF, Word, or formatted text for your learning management system.
How it works
The Teacher App follows a simple workflow:
- Plan it - Pick a profile, choose a plan type, select curriculum outcomes, and generate a plan.
- Save it - Store the output as a project so it is durable and easy to find.
- Do more with it - Open a project in any connected tool to create differentiated versions, quizzes, rubrics, or printable resources.
All of your work is organized around projects, so you never lose a generated plan in a chat thread.
Who it is for
The app is designed for classroom teachers, intervention specialists, and subject leaders working with primary and secondary students. It supports multiple curricula and auto-adjusts terminology for UK and US contexts.
Plans and projects work together
A plan is the generated output. A project is the saved copy. When you generate a plan, you can refine it in the editor. When you save it as a project, it becomes part of your library and can be opened by any connected tool.
This means you can:
- Generate a lesson plan.
- Save it as a project.
- Create a quiz from the same objectives.
- Create a rubric from the same success criteria.
- Track which curriculum outcomes were covered.
Region support
The app supports US and UK terminology. When you select a UK curriculum, words like “grade” change to “year group” and “IEP/504” change to “SEND/EHCP” automatically. You do not need to change anything.
Tips for getting started
- Start with one classroom profile for the group you plan for most often.
- Generate a single lesson before creating a full unit.
- Save every useful output as a project.
- Open a project in a connected tool to see how the context carries forward.
Get started by creating your first classroom profile, then build your first plan.
